In Our Own Write: Launch
« on: 13 September, 2007, 04:29:29 pm »

In Our Own Write: A collection of stories by young queer people in Canberra is finally completed! To celebrate, we will be having an official launch of the publication on Thursday the 4th of October at 5pm. The launch will take place at Bit Bent Woden, Woden Youth Centre, where there will be refreshments, entertainment, a few speeches, and of course, copies of the book.

You are all welcome to come along, even if you haven't been to Bit Bent before.

Those details again:

In Our Own Write Launch

When: Thursday the 4th of October at 5pm.
Where: Woden Bit Bent, Woden Youth Centre

RSVP (for catering purposes only) to kobie at kobie.howe@aidsaction.org.au.

Hope to see you all there.

I'd just like to let everyone know, there may be media at the book launch but if you are uncomfortable with this you can still come. The book launch will be held in the drop-in part of Woden Youth Centre and the back room in which we usually hold Bit bent will still be open for those who wish to attend Bit Bent but aren't too crash hot on attending the launch. I just thought that bit of information should be out there! If someone can put it in more eloquent terms please feel free. My write english not so good :P.

I think you did a pretty good job! The organisers seem to have been saying that people can opt out of photos or other media coverage. So yeah, nobody should feel discouraged from going that week.

What do you want, artistic inspiration, or to not be a pothead?

We've got an invitation here that you can pass on to friends, etc...
