I'm not insistent that we go this weekend. In fact, I suspect my "she'll be right" attitude to assignments (and, in particular, accounting assignments) will result in quite a busy Sunday evening, the night before it's due. So next weekend sounds fine.

I think I am going to field with the postpone idea..... 5 is a small number.

Not sure if you guys are aware but the Qwire is playing somewhere is Canberra, this Sunday I think. Maybe go to that, or have a coffee/drink (overage assumption!! coffee a much better option) as an alternative and then can all become ice buddies.

Re: Budget, I find it immensely interesting but I take part in the state and federal budgets, they affect everything I do and having just come off an election grrrrrrrrrr I have enough work to do!!

Seriously though, they are important and people should take note as I do believe that if people had a close look at Howard's economic policy and went through the experience of, lets say going to university under his funding and ed arrangements, they wouldn't be so quick to vote for him.

On another line, check out the article in the Sydney Star Obesrver about Rudd's attitude to gay rights, no glowing. http://www.ssonet.com.au

Sunday is still on for all those who are wanting to go. We have discussed this and will meet either at the rink or for those who dont know where the rink is, we will meet outside the Woden Youth Centre. I will be at the Youth Centre for anyone wanting to go there.. I think it may be wise to turn up at 1:00. This gives us all time to meet up and make sure everything is in order.

SUNDAY 13th
1:30pm - 3:30pm
PHILLIP POOL AND ICE SKATING CENTRE
$15 ($11 if you bring your own skates)

I am pretty sure that is all the info. Even if it's a small group I'm sure we can still have fun (I'm going btw, my mum is being nice) Also I agree that we should set up another date further down the track if anyone expresses an interest.

(I hope Austin is there.. personal joke that no one on Qnet will get.. wtf? why am I even saying it?)

Make that $12 if you bring your own skates. I'm sure a buck makes all the difference...
What do you want, artistic inspiration, or to not be a pothead?

Yes, very awesome! Good turn-out as well, seven or eight of us. Had a lot of fun, although my legs are still a little sore. Walking to Woden and back at lunch time today was *not* fun.

Sorry to have missed it. My 60 hour weeks means I was somewhere between Braddon and Siam. I am glad you guys had fun, and I hope some new friendships were formed.

What's next on our social agenda? I think its fantastic to see the networking here being worked in practical ways.

I will try to write something more substantial when I have time. For now, its back to the books.....
