a belated welcome to qnet!! 
glad to hear u had fun over the wkd 
I just wanna tell everyone bout MY wkd.. I had my belly dancing student concert on saturday night and i had sooooo much fun. was not quite as scary as i had thought it would be dancing up on stage, especially when i've only been doing it for 3 terms!
so yeah that was the highlight of my wkd

it is a lot of fun, but hard too: you have got to stand with your knees slightly bent, stomach pulled to you spine, back flat, and shoulders back, and then u have to try and breathe, and then u have to try and move lol
thats the hardest bit.
I understand about time tho, especally with the amount of stuff your doing!!!
i am THE worst time management person in the entire world, trust me, so i can barely do anything before it feels like im flat out hehehe..
i actually started dancing earlier this year cos i have wanted to do it for years, and i played soccer last year but i had too much uni work first semester so.... needed something only one night a week.
Its not quite as intensive as soccer, but i can tell you my stomach muscles are slowly improving

My weekend? Hilarious. I was at a wedding and I discovered I can dance. More news at seven. Seriously, I'm wanting to go out later this week to try to recapture the magic; I need to find out if this was a fluke or if I suddenly can dance.

Sounds like hard work Laurin, but more fun than all the freaking exercise vids I do! They're the only thing i have time for and i swear you work your abs more laughing at the cheesiness of the instructors than you do from the actual exercise 

Meanwhile Hapgood, dancing is the best, you should definately explore that further.  I love tango and salsa, they're awesome! I'd go insane without music and dancing...

Oh I can waltz, quickstep, foxtrot etc. Even the occasional rumba. Just I've never been good at actual, popular, look-at-me dancing. Until last night, when I OWNED the floor

hey guys, my names matt, im 15. I was born in new zealand and lived there for 7 years then i I moved to victoria then back to new zealand the next year. then after about uuh *thinks* 2-2 1/2 years i moved 2 canberra when i was 9 I think... after year 4 I moved to sydney for 2 and 1/2 years and then moved back 2 canberra. Now this is where I live. lol. I LOVE music!! best thing in the world!    My life has been a bit rocky, with my parents getting divorced, one of my friends dying (RIP MEGAN) and moving around alot.
I live in gungahlin, and i work at big w lol! im in year 9 and i go 2 frannies.
Enough about me, i could be here for ever.
i wanna meet all you guys so uhm, idk. lol.

Hi, my name is Emily. I'm 15 years old now. I was born in Sydney, but i moved to canberra when i was about 1 year old. Call me crazy, but I love Canberra so much! I consider it my home town and my haven. I've known i was lesbian since i was about 12. I'm hapilly dating my girlfriend of almost 1 year.

I love music more than anythign else on earth. I don't feel alive unless im listening to music, you know? I love rock music that has a melodious feel to it too, like A Perfect Circle. I love classical and rock, and everything in between. My current obsession is a Dutch Classical Rock band called Within Temptation (go to Raven for a free copy of their single). They sound like a cross between the Goth rock band Nightwish and the beautifuly melodious band Evenescence with their hot, hot lead singer Amy Lee. *drools over keyboard*

I can't think of much else to say...Vanessa Carlton is surley a musical God! I never liked her befre but suddely i cant listen to her enough! Alot of people out there would think of her as a prude and a homophobic, but I think she'smore like Tori Amos. Nuff said.
