Hey guys :)

Just thought I'd ask if there's anyone at ANU on here?????
I just started my science degree there, and I'd really like to make some new friends, or something I really don't mind :P
If you do go there, especially if your doing science, or like scuba diving and skiing, drop a line, I always love meeting a new person :):):)

I'm in first year engineering/economics at ANU, and I love physics :)

I do a bit of photography (as a job as well) and I love skiing even though I've only been once. Have any of you used been in Queerspace before? Thoughts?

Hey guys,

I've been at ANU for 4 years and decided this year that I really needed to check out Queerspace and meet some other GBLTIQ peops on campus.  It's definitely worthwhile- you can check out upcoming events etc at http://anusasexualitydepartment.wordpress.com/ which is updated every week with general events.  You can get involved in the social stuff (Jellybabies), the political stuff (ANU Sex Dept) or both :-)

Ahhh engineering, a friend of mine does that :P I always bag on her and tell her she should be taking biology :P

It's good that you like skiing, it is really good :D  I went to Japan at the start of the year for it, it was absolutely amazing!  Definitely going up this year to try out my new skis :D

And to the 2nd reply, I've been in the Queerspace before, seems like the ANU needs to maybe give them more money :P  It's practically in a basement :P

I am not 'technically' an ANU student but I do live on Marcus Clarke Street, and I am studying a bachelors degree in Community Development through a university in Perth. Because Im studying correspondance, I still get involved in SOME ANU campus life. I moved to Canberra at the start of this year for work. Im finding it kind of lonely. Im not saying I miss the Gold Coast... but I miss having friends.

Hey Jill,

I'm brand new here, and charging around looking at everyone's stuff. Never even thought about it before but it really must be exclusive to be right near the ANU community but not a student of that uni. Oh, I read your intro story too; it's so wonderful to hear that people that find themselves in situations like yours can get it all figured out and have so much confidence about it! That's pretty awesome.

I study at the uni and (even with the whole 'student and drowning in communities' thing) have found myself practically friendless. Although i've been particularly babbly today for which i will blame my four coffees, I find it hard to approach people after everything that's happened with my coming out and all. Which would make it easier for me to talk to people from this website.

It was awesome to find this site!

I'd be happy to grab coffee and stuff if you were ever bored out of your brain. Next week though! It'd be cool to actually know someone.

hey guys,

im re-entering my science/law degree semester two (1st year) after 4 months away in europe- looking to find new friends; its that time when your school friends are poached or move on- with the added sensitivity to my sexuality i think its time for new mates.

Im a 19 year old gay canberra boy, spent a lot of time as a kid in sydney, friendly, fun, happy to meet some cool people and got a lot to offer :-)
