Sexual Health & Family Planning ACT operates clinical services offering care and management across a range of sexual and reproductive health issues.

Located at:
SHFPACT Clinic
Level 1, 28 University Ave, CANBERRA CITY

This service is staffed by doctors and nurses with special qualifications in sexual and reproductive health.

Males and females of all ages can attend and you do not need a referral.

Consultations are free however costs apply to some tests. Please bring your medicare card.


Services include:

• Contraception advice and supply

• Checks and treatment for sexually transmitted infections

• Pap tests, breast checks and pregnancy tests

• Unplanned pregnancy counselling

• Post termination of pregnancy checks

• Ante natal care

• Help with menstrual problems

• Vaccinations - rubella and hepatitis A and B

• Information on fertility, sexual difficulties

• Men's sexual health checks


How to make an appointment

Telephone (02) 6247 3077 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday,
or call in at the clinic between 9am and 4.45pm Monday to Friday.

You will be asked to give the receptionist some indication of why you want an appointment so that you are booked in to see either a doctor or nurse and for the necessary length of time.

 

It is possible to come without an appointment to see a nurse however you may have a long wait.

The Clinic is located in Level 1, 28 University Ave, Canberra City. 
 
Appointments can be made between the following hours:
• Monday 9am - 7.15pm
• Tuesday 9am - 4.45pm
• Wednesday 9am - 4.45pm
• Thursday 9am - 7.15pm
• Friday 9am - 4.45pm
• Saturday 9am - 11.45am
